It happens very rarely in the world of sports that two of the best sportspersons across the globe happen to be at the same place at the same time. One such incredible coincidence is currently happening in Manchester with Manchester United's new signing Cristiano Ronaldo and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli presently in the city preparing for their respective matches.

The Red Devils are up against Newcastle United in this weekend's Premier League fixture at Old Trafford which is scheduled to take place on September 11. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side is undergoing training in Manchester for the upcoming contest. On the other hand, Virat Kohli is also in the city with his side up against England for the final Test match of the ongoing series which will be played at Old Trafford Stadium from September 10-14.

With two star players of cricket and football just a few kilometers away, Lancashire Cricket posted a cheeky tweet stating, "Fancy a joint training session at @EmiratesOT to #BreaktheInternet?"

While none of the two players have replied on the same, Ronaldo's club Manchester United took the opportunity to praise the two athletes as they tweeted, "One city, two GOATs".

Although it would be difficult for the two athletes to meet each other right now, considering the COVID-19 restrictions and protocols in place. However, just in case the meeting takes place, there is certainly no doubt that internet is indeed going to break!

Virat Kohli and Cristiano Ronaldo's interaction in 2014

It is no secret that Virat Kohli is a big fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, something which the cricketer has revealed on several occasions. The two athletes also interacted in 2014 on Twitter when they were associated with the same brand - Herbalife.

In a video message, Kohli had stated, "Hi Cristiano. I don't know if you know much about cricket but I know a lot about soccer. I have been the biggest fan you can have from any other sport. I've followed your career closely and your games closely. I was only a fan of Manchester United because of you. And now, my loyalties have shifted to Real Madrid because of you. I really admire your passion and aggression on the field, something that I thrive on as well."

Ronaldo had thanked Kohli for his kind words and hailed him as an amazing athlete. It must be noted that the two athletes are an epitome of hard work, passion and fitness in their respective sports and if the duo ends up meeting each other, it will certainly be a beautiful sight for all the sports lovers!
