The ICC World Test Championship final has not gone as per the plan. Although it was supposed to be Day 4 of the live cricketing action of the summit clash between India and New Zealand, only less than two complete days of cricket have been made possible so far. This is because of the weather in the United Kingdom (UK) which has been far from ideal for a cricket game.

While rain washed out the complete Day 1 and Day 4, bad light interrupted the game on Day 2 and 3. Following the turn of events, the English weather, known for its unpredictable nature, is being criticised with fans and experts suggesting that an important game should never have happened in the country.

And now former England captain Kevin Pietersen has also weighed his opinion on the same. Taking to Twitter, KP wrote that a one off game and such an important one should never happen in the UK. He even suggested an alternative venue for such one off games saying that Dubai would be perfect.

Fans also show frustration at ICC for hosting WTC final in UK

Meanwhile, fans also vented out their frustration on social media with many suggesting that England should be banned from hosting ICC events. While some are looking at the lighter side of things, if the final of the inaugural WTC final is washed out completely, it won’t be a good advertisement for a tournament which is being looked upon as the future of Test cricket.
