Former India and Mumbai top-order batter Wasim Jaffer has been one of the funniest personalities on social media, especially when he talks about cricket. Jaffer often uses several Indian pop-culture references like clips from old movies and TV shows to give his two cents on a situation.

As the Punjab Kings take on the Gujarat Titans, the 10-time Ranji Trophy winner was back in action as he found the perfect video to illustrate a problem the Kings could face. The 44-year-old posted a clip from the film Hera Pheri, describing the selection issue faced by Punjab.

They have added English batter, Jonny Bairstow, to the squad along with foreign players like Kagiso Rabada, Liam Livingstone, Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Odean Smith. The video comprises characters trying to fit into the backseat of a taxi but hilariously failing.

The post also had a caption that said, “PBKS trying to fit Bairstow, Rabada, Livingstone, Rajapaksa and Odean Smith into the XI ? #PBKSvGT #IPL2022”

While speaking to ESPNCricinfo, Jaffer praised Gujarat Titan’s captain Hardik Pandya for his leadership skills. He also questioned the Titans about the role assigned to India all-rounder Vijay Shankar. Jaffer was quoted saying, “There were question marks on Hardik Pandya's captaincy. It was a big decision. He didn't have any captaincy experience whether it was first-class cricket or the IPL but the way he has started, these are very positive signs.

“Shubman Gill's innings was outstanding. He scored almost 50% of the runs. There's always a question mark on his power-hitting and strike rate but in that match, he batted at a strike rate of almost 180 and these are very good signs."

“It's definitely a matter of concern that Vijay Shankar got the chance at No. 3 but the way he's playing, I feel he perhaps needs some role clarity", Jaffer concluded.
