As the five-time champions, when Mumbai Indians took the Delhi Capitals, all eyes were on Indian wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan, who was picked up for an exorbitant price of 15,25 crore in the 2022 Mega Auction. A lot of people speculated that Kishan wouldn’t live up to this price tag and could crumble under pressure.
But the 23-year-old has proved each of his doubters as he smashed a ferocious knock of 81 runs from 48 balls with 11 fours and two sixes. The Patna-born carried his bat through the innings and guided the Mumbai Indians to a massive score of 177 at the Brabourne Stadium.
