Donald Trump, who was re-elected as the US President in the year 2024, will be seen attending the finals of the US Open men's singles after almost ten years. The last time Donald Trump attended the tournament final was in 2015, and since then, he came into power but never attended the Grand Slam tennis tournament in his home nation. As per the report from BBC Sport, they have been given confirmation by a White House official about Donald Trump's upcoming visit to the US Open after Fox broke the news.
The last time Trump visited the US Open in 2015, he was greeted by the six-time American major champion John McEnroe and enjoyed the matches from the hospitality area. The 79-year-old was born in the Queens Borough in New York City, which is very close to the venue of the US Open. However, to his misfortunes there will be no American player this time around in contention to participate in the final in men's singles.
Two cracking men's semi-finals lined up to crown the ultimate champion at US Open
The first semi-final in the men’s category is set to be between the pride of Serbia Novak Djokovic who will be taking on the prince of Spain Carlos Alcaraz. This match is guaranteed as both the players have their eyes on the ultimate title and are hungry for the silverware. For Djokovic, it will be very crucial to achieve this milestone considering he is nearing the end of his beautiful career, however, it will be interesting to see if Alcaraz is as passionate as Djokovic to proceed to the grand finale.
