India are set to face Sri Lanka in limited-overs series beginning on July 18. Prior to the six white-ball matches, the players are sweating it out in the gym while also playing intra-squad games to be match ready. Moreover, the six uncapped players in the Indian team are also having a bit of fun and had a photoshoot in India colours which they seemed to enjoy and cherish.

Other than the young players, the squad also has a good bunch of experienced campaigners- the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Hardik Pandya, Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav. The series is also being looked upon as a big one for the spinning duo of Chahal and Kuldeep who gradually seem to be drifting away from the selectors' and management's scheme of things.

While Chahal has been in and out of the side, Kuldeep did not even get to play a game in the first half of the 14th edition of IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders. Against a side which is struggling with form and consistency, the duo of 'Kul-Cha' would look to regain their confidence and form and make a case for themselves ahead of the T20 World Cup later this year.

Prior to the series opener, the two spinners seemed to be in a joyous mood, sharing a fun moment while playing dumb charades. The duo seemed to be in a relaxed state of mind heading into the series against Sri Lanka.

Notably, the two wrist spinners came to the party in 2017 and helped the Men in Blue win matches for the subsequent two years. The two also bowled well in partnership suggesting that if one picked wickets, the other was more often than not, successful in restricting the run flow. However, a gradual decline in their form as well as Hardik Pandya's injury and re-emergence of Ravindra Jadeja, a spin all-rounder, in white-ball cricket meant that the two of them have got very few chances post the 2019 World Cup. They could get a game together in the upcoming Sri Lanka series.
