Analysis:

Islamabad were under bated breath before the start of their previous game. Islamabad player Fawad Ahmed had contracted the dreaded COVID-19 virus and the match had to be postponed to the next day. The team had to be mentally strong to outclass Quetta and they did that. Islamabad’s Faheem Ashraf guided them to the win. He had bowling figures of 3/11 in his 4 overs and bamboozled all the batsmen. Paul Stirling too starred with the bat. He notched up a brilliant 56.

Lahore have had a topsy-turvy campaign so far. They started off with 2 win, then lost 1 match to Multan Sultans. Then they staged a massive comeback and won their previous game against defending champions Karachi Kings. Skipper Sohail Akhtar mentioned that they were under pressure. Opener Fakhar Zaman scored a belligerent knock of 83 and powered Lahore to the total. Ben Dunk and David Wiese too contributed handsomely in the chase.
