Time for another double header in the Pakistan T20 League this Sunday. The first match will see Islamabad United go up against the Lahore Qalandars at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. While Lahore have got off to a great start in the UAE and have won both their matches in the competition so far, Islamabad faced a defeat against the same opponents in the first match of the Abu Dhabi-leg of the competition but clinched a handsome win by 10 wickets with 10 overs remaining in their next match. However, the fact remains that these two sides are the most consistent teams in the tournament so far and this could be a mouth-watering clash. While Lahore have won five of their six games, Islamabad have four wins in six matches and both are placed in the top three on the points table.

It will be a huge psychological edge that Lahore Qalandars will hold over Islamabad United having defeated them in the reverse fixture a few days ago. However, both teams will be aware of the fact that this is a fresh start and it could be anybody’s game from here. While Fakhar Zaman hasn’t had the best of starts in the UAE-leg, Lahore would hope he gets back to scoring runs along with the rest of the firepower in the side. Rashid Khan and James Faulkner have made up for some of the senior pros not quite making it count but the side looks really good on paper.
For Islamabad, if Colin Munro can continue in the same fashion from his previous innings, that would be a huge boost to their batting. However, the likes of Hussain Talat, Rohail Nazir and Shadab Khan need to chip in some runs in the middle order as well. Mohammad Wasim Jr was impressive in the previous game and along with the rest of the bowlers, they form a potent attack.
