Pakistan Cricket Team are having a fine run in white-ball cricket this year as the team has managed to beat Australia and West Indies at home in the ODI series. Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has hailed the Babar Azam-led Pakistan and has expected the team to reach the top of the ICC ODI Team Rankings.

The 42-year-old veteran has expressed his desire to see the Pakistan team on the top of the team rankings as the team is consistently performing well in white ball cricket.

"To be frank, I'm not just saying this because I'm from Pakistan, but we should be no.1 in the rankings. The way we are performing in all the three departments; batting, bowling, and fielding, we can see a unity in this side," Razzaq said while talking to Sports Paktv.

Pakistan had reached the final of the last year's T20 world cup that took place in the United Arab Emirates and Oman. The former Pakistan all-rounder has backed the team to win the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022. He mentioned, "I have full hopes that in the upcoming ICC tournaments, the Pakistan team will perform and finish at the top."

Razzaq has expected the Pakistan skipper Babar, who is witnessing an exceptional form, to become the No. 1 batter across all formats of international cricket. "It's his time to deliver. He has been performing for the past 4-5 years. I hope that he will be able to continue with the same momentum and become no.1 across all formats,” Razzaq said.

"If he continues like this, it's good for Pakistan team and Pakistan cricket," he added.

Pakistan white-washed the West Indies in the three-match ODI series last month. Now, the Men in Green will tour Sri Lanka for the two-match Test series starting from July 16 in Galle.
