The West Indies white-ball tour of Pakistan is all set to commence on December 13, Monday with the first of the three T20I fixtures. The shortest format will be followed by three ODI matches with all the matches set to be played at the National Stadium, Karachi. Both sides have had contrasting results in the T20 World Cup while Pakistan will be pretty happy overall with how they played in the marquee event narrowly missing out on a place in the final and remaining unbeaten in the Super 12 stage of the competition, West Indies, who were the defending champions failed miserably.

Moreover, since the World Cup, Pakistan have already clean-swept Bangladesh while the contest against Pakistan will be West Indies’ first since their disappointing run in the world event in the Middle East.

Key Players:

Seeing the current form, not picking Babar Azam in the fantasy team will be too big a risk to take. Make sure he is among the first ones in the side along with Mohammad Rizwan who has not been scoring runs but will also have the wicketkeeping gloves, which means chances of fetching more points in the fantasy table, given that he is also set to open the batting. West Indies skipper Nicholas Pooran could be a handy bet although he hasn’t been that consistent. One has to gamble between which of the Windies top order batter will get runs. Rovman Powell and Brandon King are the preferred batters picked as per the Best 14, but Darren Bravo expected to come in at number 3 might not be that bad an option. Fakhar Zaman is the other Pakistan batter who could be trusted for a place in team with Shadab Khan, Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd and Mohammad Nawaz – the best all-around options to choose from. Shaheen Shah Afridi, Akeal Hosein, Haris Rauf and Oshane Thomas will be the bowling options but Shaheen and Akeal among them could be the key on a wicket which is expected to slow down as the game progresses.
