Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq often finds himself in the headlines because of his controversial statements and claims. The former cricketer, who is always high on praise for Pakistan Cricket, has now made a huge claim about the Babar Azam-led Men in Green. He said that the side is capable of securing the top spot in all three formats and also opened up on their side's rebuilding phase.

“We only have to look at the likes of South Africa, Australia, Sri Lanka and England who are now in the middle of a similar rebuilding phase as us. We saw how South Africa are faring off late, so thankfully Pakistan is not at that stage and I am very happy that our batting, bowling and fielding has shown a marked improvement,” Razzaq was quoted as saying to Pak Passion.

“To me, the secret to reaching the first or second position in ICC’s rankings in all formats is to improve in all three facets, in much the same way as Australia was dominating all other teams about 20 years ago. I am hopeful that the way things are going, Pakistan will reach the first or second position in all formats very soon,” he added.

Babar & Virat are completely different players: Razzaq

On the Babar Azam and Virat Kohli comparison, Razzaq said that both are very different players and should not be compared. He went on to suggest that matches between Pakistan and India should be held since only then a fair comparison between players could happen.
