Former southpaw of the Indian team, Yuvraj Singh is quite active on social media platforms, and is quite expressive of his thoughts regarding the ongoing cricket tournaments and current affairs.

This time around, Yuvraj has given a suggestion to the Kolkata Knight Riders wicket-keeper Sheldon Jackson, who has worked very hard over the years for getting a spot in the final 11 of his respective teams in the tournament. The cricket fans have also shown support to the cricketer by sharing the tweet.

Dear Sheldon Jackson, Please wear a helmet- Yuvraj Singh

During the 1st fixture of the Indian Premier League 2022 between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, Sheldon Jackson displayed a solid glove work to stump Robin Uthappa, who was looking in good touch. Looking at his wicket keeping skills, Sheldon was hailed as the back-up option in Test cricket for the Indian team.

But, Yuvraj Singh was quick to note that the wicket keeper was not wearing the helmet when keeping to the spinners. The former cricketer posted a tweet, Dear #SheldonJackson please wear a helmet when u keeping to spinners! You are a very talented player and have a golden opportunity after a long time be safe !!! And all the best #CSKvKKR #IPL2022.

The tweet is also important, as the careers of many cricketers have been ended during their wicket-keeping stint in the international cricket. The former Indian wicket-keeper Saba Karim was forced to retire after a horrific irreparable eye injury sustained in Asia Cup fixture against Bangladesh in 2000.

One of the renowned wicket keepers in world cricket, Mark Boucher damaged his left eye after the bails hit him in July 2012, and underwent a surgery. He served South Africa cricket for around 15 years.

The Saurashtra wicket-keeper batsman, Sheldon Jackson has been one of the most consistent run scorers in the domestic circuit. He has piled up close to 6000 runs in First Class cricket, with an average of 50.39 since 2011.
