On the occasion of April Fool’s day, Pokemon Go will be hosting an event today called "April Fools' 2-Oh?-22." It will be a one-day event. Alongside Ditto, there are seven other Pokemons that will be appearing more in the wild. Niantic announced the event in March with other events that will be taking place in the coming months.
Pokemon Go April Fools' 2-Oh?-22 timings
The Pokemon Go April Fools' 2-Oh?-22 event will start at 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM local time. The official post for the event also says that "Ditto appears to be changing into different Pokemon in the wild" and if players are fortunate, they could find a Shiny Ditto.
Featured Pokemons in the April Fools' 2-Oh?-22
During the event, seven Pokemons like Ekans, Gastly, Natu, Surskit, Finneon, Dwebble, and Swirlix will appear more frequently. Additionally, trainers can also buy an event-themed sticker by spinning PokeStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them from the in-game shop. The event will also have a special research task available for players.
How to catch Ditto?
Players cannot directly catch Ditto while they can catch the Pokemon which is disguised as Ditto. If a player catches a Pokemon that Ditto has transformed into, they will see a different catching screen with text above the Pokeball saying "Oh?" and Ditto will be revealed.
Which Pokemon are mostly to be Dittos?
Players must target Pokemons in their nearby list. Then players can catch a Ditto with lures and incenses. Players must also note the fact that Pokemons can be found in the same location more than once. The Pokemons that Ditto can transform into are Gastly, Drowzee, Teddiusra, Remoraid, Fulpin, Numel, Dwebble, Foongus and Stunky
