The second match of the three-match ODI series between England and India is underway at Lord’s. India are once again bowling first and the Men in Blue have got a fair start to the innings. India only conceded 46 runs in the first ten overs and also got rid of Jason Roy. Hardik Pandya was the bowler for India to draw first blood.

Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow tried to build a partnership with the latter looking more comfortable as he played some glorious shots in the middle. However, there were also a few swing-and-a-miss, one of which came in the last over of the powerplay. Bairstow tried to take on Prasidh Krishna with an aggressive shot but could not connect and then the two also exchanged a few words.

On the fifth delivery of the tenth over of the England innings, Krishna bowled a short-of-length delivery that shoot up after pitching. It went past the bat of Bairstow who was looking to dispatch it in the long-on and deep midwicket region. Although Bairstow missed the shot, he held the pose as if he hit the ball.

Krishna tried to take a dig at the batter by looking in the direction he was aiming to hit. After that, the Indian pacer muttered a few words and also got something in return from Bairstow. Later Root and Bairstow both became victims of the leg-spinner Chahal in the match.
