Leicester City will host Tottenham Hotspurs in the last matchday of the Premier League at King Power Stadium. The Foxes are placed fifth on the table and level on points with Liverpool, who has a better goal difference.
On the other hand, Spurs are at seventh place after their defeat against Aston Villa at home. It will be a cracker of a contest as both the teams will be looking to secure their chances in European football.
However, Leicester has a better chance at making it to Champions League if they win and Liverpool draw or lose against Crystal Palace. At the same time, the Lilywhites’ victory won’t confirm them a place in Europa League. Spurs will be equal in points with West Ham after a win, and if West Ham loses, then Tottenham will secure its place.
The Foxes again will miss the services of Harvey Barnes, James Justin and Cengiz Under. Jonny Evans, who got injured in the FA Cup final against Chelsea, is still struggling with a foot issue.
Spurs will be without Ben Davies, who is facing a calf issue and Japhet Tanganga, who picked up a leg injury against Aston Villa.
Matt Doherty could replace Tanganga in the starting lineup, while Gareth Bale could join Dele Alli, Son Heung-min, and Kane in the final third.
Leicester played their last 2 games against a defensively strong side in the form of Chelsea. On both occasions, they managed to score a goal. Although Jamie Vardy was kept quiet by Reece James recently, he will be pumped to end his season with some goals.
Spurs have lost their 3 games in their last 5 matches and haven’t won an away game in their previous 4 games. It is believed that Harry Kane could be playing his final match for the club, and he will look to leave on a positive end with a win. Kane is the joint top-scorer in league with 22 goals and will have to score atleast a brace to secure golden boot.
