Lionel Messi has arrived in Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and the whole footballing world has turned upside down in a matter of few hours. The French giants have become a force to reckon with in Europe, having already secured the signings of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum, Sergio Ramos and Achraf Hakimi. What about other competitions?

PSG will also take part in Coupe de France (France's domestic cup) and UEFA Champions League (Europe's premier club competition). The fixtures of both these tournaments haven't been announced yet.

When will Messi make his PSG debut?

There is currently no clear information on Messi's debut for PSG. However, it is expected that the 34-year-old will need at least a month to get settled in Paris, find a new home and get back to training to achieve match fitness. It has been reported that Messi's debut might happen on September 12 during PSG's home game against Clermont at Parc des Princes stadium.

During the press conference on Wednesday, Messi said, "Not sure when I’ll play my first minutes in Ligue 1." He added that he has been on a holiday and might need a pre-season before he is up and ready.
