Aleem Dar is considered as one of the most prolific and experienced umpires. He is a part of the ICC Elite Umpires list and has won the David Shepherd trophy for three years in a row. He was recently officiating in the Pakistan T20 match between Karachi Kings and Islamabad United and could not control his laughter after Karachi lost their review for challenging his decision.

Islamabad United needed just one run in the final over and they chased it down with a single. However, there was a halt to their celebrations as Karachi went upstairs for a review. Dar had given it not-out but Imad Wasim decided to take the review. The snicko clearly showed there was an inside edge before the ball touched the pads. Aleem Dar could not control his amusement and ended up doing a small celebration on the field.

Karachi Kings, who are the defending champions, lost the sixth match of the Pakistan Super League. In a high-scoring encounter, Babar Azam and Sharjeel struck magnificent knocks. While Sharjeel scored a ton, Babar Azam scored 62 runs. Subsequently, Dan Christian and Mohammed Nabi played handy cameos to power Karachi to a gigantic 196. But Islamabad batsmen were too good for the Karachi bowlers. James Vince and Iftikhar Ahmed scored handy knocks to guide them past the threshold score. Ahmed scored 49 and Vince plundered 46 runs.

Aleem Dar has international commitments

The veteran umpire shall be now flying to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He will be officiating in the Test series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. Due to this international commitment, he will not be able to supervise the remaining PSL matches.
