The 2021 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been handed another major blow on Tuesday. Notably, the chartered plane carrying the broadcasting team from India landed in Ras Al Khaimah instead of Abu Dhabi. When the staff members entered Abu Dhabi from there, they were sent to Dubai by the health ministry of Abu Dhabi. While the reason behind the same is still not clear, it is being reported that the decision was taken because of some breach of quarantine SOPs.

However, this has put the start of the whole tournament in jeopardy because when the broadcasting team returns to Abu Dhabi, they could be forced to undergo another 8-day quarantine as per the current rules, which could result in further postponement of the tournament.

Pak vs Eng series could also get delayed

As per the initial plan of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), they were planning to resume the season by June 10 with a home series against England set to commence on July 8. However, a further delay in the start of the tournament could also result in the postponement of the bilateral series between Pakistan and England.
