Lahore Qalandars have defeated Peshawar Zalmi in the match-2 of PSL 2021 and registered their first win of the tournament. Qalandars captain Sohail Khan after winning the toss opted to field first and Shaheen Afridi's impressive spell of 3/14 helped Lahore to restrict Peshawar for a total of 140, despite a gritty half-century from Ravi Bopora.

Chasing a modest total of 140, Lahore Qalandars were able to cross the line with the help of cameo knocks from Mohammad Hafeez, Ben Dunk and Rashid Khan. Mohammad Hafeez and Rashid Khan's unbeaten partnership of 44 runs from 26 balls played a crucial role in chasing a tricky target of 141. Players like Fakhar Zaman, Sohail Akthar and Agha Salman gave an initial impetus to the chase but failed to convert it to big.

5 - Fakhar Zaman has become the 5th leading run-scorer in PSL history. He is now only behind Kamran Akmal, Babar Azam, Shane Watson and Shoaib Malik.

8 - Sohail Akthar has won 8 games as captain in PSL (Just in 14 games he has captained) with a success percentage of 57.14%. Only Sarfraz Ahmed, Darren Sammy and Mishbah-ul-Haq have a better success rate as captain than him.

21.13 - Shaheen Afridi has an impressive bowling average of 21.13 and 37 wickets to his name in PSL. Only 4 other bowlers - Faheem Ashraf, Wahab Riaz, Mohammad Sami and Hasan Ali, have picked more wickets and have better average than him in PSL history.
