Pakistan Super League season 6 postponed indefinitely

The much-awaited Pakistan Super League season 6 is all set to kickstart, as confirmed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) earlier. All major cricket leagues were put to halt after the COVID-19 wave hit many parts of the world. The tournament which was suspended after a few matches due to rise in the COVID-19 cases in several franchises, is all set to return to stage in the month of June.

After a lot of discussion, the PCB along with the UAE government came to a decision to host the remainder season in UAE. Abu Dhabi will play host to the remaining 20 games that are still left to announce the the final winner of the edition. Notably, this is the second time that the Sheikh Zayed Stadium will host this tournament. It was in 2019 that four league matches of the tournament were played at the venue.

PCB gets approval for hosting the season in UAE

It was on May 20 that the Pakistan board received all approvals to conduct the tournament in UAE. However, the board still has a task in hand as they are yet to announce the revised fixtures for the remainder of the season with June just few days away.
