Preview:

In match number 12 of the ongoing high-octane Pakistan Super League, Islamabad United square off against Quetta Gladiators. Both teams need a win to get their proceedings back on track. The last time United played a match, it ended up being a one-sided affair. Reminds you of the 2019-20 season? Islamabad United led by Shadab have got all the ingredients of winning the title this season. Though they are currently at the fourth position in the points table, they have it in themselves to rule the roost. Alex Hales and Paul Stirling need to give United a good start for them to get confidence.

Quetta, on the other hand, have had dwindling fortunes this season. They lost all three matches they have played so far. This surmounts the pressure on skipper Sarfraz Ahmed even though his batting has witnessed some glorious moments this season. In 3 matches, he has plundered 128 runs at an average of 42.67. But sadly he has not found able support from his other comrades. Chris Gayle, who was in top-class form, had to leave Quetta because of international commitments. A tough task lies ahead for the Gladiators.
