Under the leadership of Mayank Agarwal, Punjab Kings will look to better their chances to clinch their maiden IPL title. Kings are amongst the few franchises who have played all the IPL seasons and haven't won a single title. They have been mediocre in most of the seasons and never looked comprehensive to win the title. The 2014 season proved to be their best outing so far in the league, where they finished as runners-up.
However, this time around, PBKS have a solid squad for IPL 2022. The Kings will kick start their campaign against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 27 at DY Patil Stadium, with their next task being against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 1. Like every other team, Punjab Kings will play 14 games and conclude their league stage against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 22 at Wankhede Stadium.
