The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 has suffered another big blow ahead of the resumption of the tournament. Earlier, star player and former Pakistan skipper Shahid Afridi pulled out of the tournament, citing a back injury ahead of the start of the tournament. Now, all-rounder, Anwar Ali is set to miss out on the remainder of the season.

Anwar Ali tests positive for COVID-19

Quetta Gladiators all-rounder Anwar Ali has become the third person to be ruled out of the tournament after Shahid Afridi and Naseem Shah. Anwar has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently under isolation.

If the sources close to PSL are to be believed, Anwar Ali's test result has delayed the schedule of the remainder of the tournament.

Naseem Shah ruled out after violating tournament protocols

18-year-old Naseem Shah has been ruled out of the remainder of the tournament after violating the bio-bubble protocols. Shah, notably, breached the protocols by sharing RT-PCR reports from a non-authorized test centre. As a result, the fast bowler has been released from isolation, ruling him out of the tournament.
