Rajasthan Royals started off the inaugural IPL season in 2008 by lifting the trophy under Shane Warne's captaincy. However, they haven't been able to replicate that success and form that helped them clinch the coveted title. In fact, they have made it into playoffs only three times after that in 2013, 2015 and 2018 IPL season.

Let's look at some of the interesting stats from Rajasthan's journey so far in the IPL:

4 - Four different bowlers Pravin Tambe, Shreyas Gopal, Ajit Chandila and Shane Watson have taken a hat-trick for Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL which is the  most for any team.

224 - Rajasthan Royals hold the record for chasing the highest ever total of 224 in IPL history. They did this against KXIP in IPL 2020.

6 - Sanju Samson will become 6th captain for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021 and they have used the least number of captains in IPL after CSK(2) and KKR(5) overall since IPL 2008.

37 - Yusuf Pathan holds the record for the fastest century by an Indian player in IPL history from just 37 balls which happened during 2010 season vs MI.

6/14 - Sohail Tanvir recorded the best ever bowling figure in IPL history of 6/14 vs CSK in 2008 and that record stood long for more than 10 years untill Alzarri Joseph registered 6/12 in 2019 vs SRH.

56.36 - Shane Warne has won 31 out of 55 matches that he played as captain for RR in IPL, thus having a success percentage of 56.36. Only captains to have better win percentage than Shane Warne are Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Steven Smith (For minimum 25 wins as captain).

10 - Sanju Samson hit 10 sixes in an IPL match vs RCB in 2018 and thus he became only the 2nd Indian player to hit 10 sixes after Murali Vijay at that time and now overall only three Indian players have 10 (or) more sixes in an IPL innings. The third player is Shreyas Iyer, who also achieved the feat in 2018.

16.25 - Chris Morris was sold for the highest price ever in IPL auctions at 16.25 crores and broke the record of Yuvraj Singh who was brought for a whooping price of 16 crores in 2015 by Delhi Capitals.

31* - Rajasthan Royals hold the record for having the highest-ever partnership for the 10th wicket in IPL. Tom Curran and Ankit Rajpoot stitched a 31 run partnership vs KKR in 2020.

2 - James Faulkner is the only bowler to pick two five-wicket haul for a single franchise. He achieved the feat for RR during IPL 2013 [Recorded 5/20 & 5/16 in 2013, both against SRH].
