Rajasthan Royals are all set to open their IPL 2021 campaign today against KL Rahul’s Punjab Kings. Although the Royals didn’t have a good season last time as they failed to qualify for the playoffs and finished eighth in the points table. But, with a new skipper in the form of Sanju Samson, will they be able to make it this time around?

David Miller & Mustafizur Rahman to miss opening game for RR

South Africa batsman David Miller and Bangladesh pace spearhead Mustafizur Rahman are set to miss Rajasthan Royals’ opening game against Punjab Kings on April 12. Notably, both are currently serving the mandatory quarantine in the hotel. Miller left for India on April 5 - leaving international duties midway, whereas Rahman joined the side after completing Bangladesh’s tour of New Zealand.

Miller was a notable absentee when Rajasthan Royals took the field in IPL 2020. Despite playing one game, Royals retained him for IPL 2021. However, Mushtafizur Rahman was bought in by RR for his base price of Rs 1 crore in the IPL 2021 auctions, early in February.
