Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals in Mumbai on Saturday, Indian head coach Ravi Shastri has termed this match-up as 'Guru vs Chela'. The 58-year-old is really excited to see how DC's newly-appointed captain Rishabh Pant will lead his side against his counterpart MS Dhoni, who has been Pant's mentor throughout his career.

Face-off between Guru and Chela

After Shreyas Iyer was ruled out of the tournament, Delhi Capitals handed the captaincy duties to a young Rishabh Pant, ahead of experienced players like Ajinkya Rahane and Ravichandran Ashwin. The 23-year-old has been in terrific form for his country and it would have played a huge part in him getting the nod. While the appointment delighted fans all over the country, there was something very fascinating about the same. As the IPL 2021 schedule was already out, Pant would make his captaincy debut against none other than his idol, Mahi.

While the fans can't wait to see the two wicketkeeping gems of Indian cricket locking horns with each other, even the country's head coach can't keep calm. Ahead of the clash on Saturday, Ravi Shastri expressed his excitement on Twitter as 'Guru' MSD go up against his 'Chela' Rishabh Pant at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.

Stump Mic suniyega zaroor: Ravi Shastri

The Indian head coach also gave important advice to fans ahead of the exciting clash. Ravi Shastri stated in his tweet, "Stump Mic suniyega zaroor." Rishabh Pant and MS Dhoni are two of the most entertaining cricketers as they often produce the most hilarious comments, standing behind the stumps. It must also be noted that Star Sports CEO had said ahead of the season that the fans will have some access to the conversation during the match as the stump mic will be on.

With the two of them in action on Saturday, the viewers will certainly keep the volume of TVs at full as they would not want to miss out on any comment from Dhoni and Pant.
