The countdown to the second half of IPL 2021 has well and truly begun. While some of the teams are still busy finalising their last-minute replacements and signings, Royal Challengers Bangalore have announced the set of players who will don their jersey in the UAE-leg of this year's tournament.

Sharing a picture of the complete squad, the franchise wrote, "Ladies and Gentlemen, presenting to you our #ClassOf2021 for the second half of #IPL2021. ? Drop a ❤️ if you can’t wait to see this squad in action. #PlayBold #WeAreChallengers."

Notably, the Virat Kohli-led team has announced several big changes in their squad for the second leg of IPL 2021. While Sri Lankan leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga replaced Australia’s Adam Zampa, Tim David from Australia has come in as a replacement for New Zealand’s Finn Allen. Moreover, Sri Lanka’s Dushmantha Chameera has replaced Daniel Sams of Australia. More recently, the franchise signed English fast-bowling all-rounder George Garton as a replacement for Australian bowler Kane Richardson.

"Talented all-rounder from England, George Garton, will join the RCB family for the rest of #IPL2021. He completes our overseas players' quota for the season," tweeted RCB. The left-arm quick has featured in 38 T20s to date and has scaled 44 wickets at an average of 20.06.

Meanwhile, the RCB captain Kohli is currently in the middle of an international series with India in a spot of bother at the Headingley Test after going 1-0 up at Lord's. The visiting team in England were bowled out for 78 on the first day of the third Test and even the skipper's personal form hasn't been ideal. To make matters worse, England openers were unseparated at the end of a poor day's play from the Indian perspective having already taken a 42-run lead with all wickets intact.

The second phase of IPL 2021 will begin after the conclusion of this five-match series with a blockbuster of a clash between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings. RCB will resume their season the next day against Kolkata Knight Riders.
