RCB defeated PBKS in Sharjah to ensure they become 3rd team to qualify for IPL 2021 playoffs after CSK and DC. RCB batting line-up was struggling to deal with Moises Henriques’ medium pace bowling and he ended up with bowling figures of 3/12 (4 overs). Henriques picked key wickets of Virat Kohli, Dan Christian and Devdutt Padikkal. Despite top-3 players getting out, Glenn Maxwell ensured RCB posted a good total and make it challenging for PBKS.

PBKS, in the chase started very well with 91-run opening partnership from KL Rahul-Mayank Agarwal pair. However, post that, PBKS middle order batting failed and thus, they didn’t cross the winning line unfortunately. Initially, in the game 3rd umpire’s caught behind decision of Devdutt Padikkal ended up being a controversial one as ultra-edge showed a minute spike but umpire turned it down as not out.
