The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 15-member squad for the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe starting from August 18. Senior players including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are rested for the Zimbabwe series.

Apart from Virat and Rohit, wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Hardik Pandya, and pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah were also left out from the Zimbabwe tour. Shikhar Dhawan once again will lead the side.

Cricket followers reacted to the announcement of resting former Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Twitter. The fans remain divided on the matter as some questioned the decision of resting Kohli while other backed the announcement.
