The Indian cricket team is currently in England for an all-format series. Wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant is also with the team as he is a part of the Test squad. The 24-year-old is expected to play a crucial role in the fifth rescheduled Test slated to be played from 1 July.

While the moment to make his fans happy with his incredible shots is a bit distant, Rishabh Pant has already won the hearts of a few fans with his beautiful gesture. The Indian cricketer’s decision to help a homeless man before posing for a picture with a group of fans has won the internet.

A Twitter user shared the anecdote of his interaction with Rishabh Pant and how the young man won the fan’s heart with his heartwarming gesture.

“Just wanted to highlight the warm gesture by @RishabhPant17. When we asked him for a picture he told us that he’ll be back in a moment. Then he went towards a homeless man sitting under the bridge and gave him food and also asked him if he wanted anything else! What a man!,” wrote Dhruv Matade on Twitter alongside a picture of him with Rishabh Pant.

High hopes from Pant!

After a series of lean batting performances in the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa, Rishabh Pant regained his form in the 4-day warm-up match against Leicestershire. Playing for the club against India, Pant scored a brilliant half-century and helped the team nullify the lead posted by the opposition team.

Now as India prepare to script history on the England soil, there will be high hopes from Rishabh Pant. The batter, known for his aggressive batting style irrespective of the circumstances will have to play a Gabba-esque innings to help India win the match and the five-match Test series. Notably, India are leading the Test series 2-1.
