Preview:

The exciting Road Safety World Series is back after a gap of one year as India Legends lock horns with Bangladesh Legends in a highly-anticipated contest in Raipur.

Before the COVID-19 outbreak postponed the league, India Legends had gone off to a perfect start, winning both their matches. While Virender Sehwag (74* off 57) was at his absolute best against West Indies Legends in the season opener, it was Irfan Pathan (57* off 31) who stole the show against Sri Lanka Legends. It will be interesting to see if the Sachin Tendulkar-led side can continue from where they left last year.

Bangladesh Legends, on the other hand, did not play any game before the pandemic. Hence, they will commence their campaign on Friday and will be hoping to start on a winning note. The Bangladesh side has two of the best left-arm spinners in their ranks in the form of Mohammad Rafique (226 International wickets) and Abdur Razzak (278 International wickets). Bangladesh side has had a history of troubling India on the cricket field and the legends would look to continue the same tradition in this tournament as well.

The stage is perfectly set as the legends from both the teams make their way back on the cricket field. The wait is almost over as the Road Safety World Series’ action resumes on Friday.
