As the exciting Road Safety World Series is back, it is now time for Sri Lanka Legends to lock horns with West Indies Legends on Saturday. Both the teams played a couple of matches in the tournament before the pandemic.
West Indies Legends come into this contest, having lost both of their first two matches. While India Legends beat them by 7 wickets, South Africa Legends registered a 6-wicket victory before the tournament got postponed. The fans would certainly be hoping to see Brian Lara at his class best as he leads his side on Saturday.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka Legends got off to a winning start in the tournament. Skipper Tilakratne Dilshan led from the front as his all-round heroics (18 runs and 3/35) powered his side to a 7-run win over Australia Legends in a hard-fought contest. After they went on to lose their second contest against India Legends, they would certainly be hoping to bounce back in the tournament with a win over Brian Lara’s side on Saturday.

Tilakaratne Dilshan will captain the Sri Lanka Legends that also has Sanath Jayasuriya and Rangana Herath in their squad. The squad features some big names in the form of Farvez Maharoof, Ajantha Mendis and Russel Arnold. Pacer Chaminda Vaas, who produced a scintillating spell (3-0-5-2) against India Legends, won’t be available for SL Legends.
West Indies Legends:
Brian Lara will lead the West Indies Legends that will feature Tino Best, Sulieman Benn, Carl Hooper and Dwayne Smith. Left-handed batsman Shivnarine Chanderpaul, who registered scores of 61 and 21 runs in the first two matches, does not feature in the new squad.
