Mumbai Indians would look to go for an unprecedented hat-trick of titles. While the five-time IPL champions have a crazy fan following worldwide, with some experts terming it the best T20 team in the world, it is a young fan in the stands that is such an important member of the MI Paltan. It is none other than skipper Rohit Sharma’s little daughter Samaira. Ahead of the 14th edition of IPL, MI have shared an adorable video featuring the little superstar.
In the video, Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika compared daughter Samaira’s look in a helmet to newly appointed Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant. Ritika can be seen telling her daughter how she looks like “Rishabh Chachu” after Rohit compared Samaira’s helmet look to that of a wicketkeeper. What made the video more special was the expression on the child’s face when she saw the MI logo on the helmet. She even played a “mini pull-shot” when asked to imitate how her dad hits sixes on the cricket ground.

Mumbai to face RCB in tournament opener
Mumbai Indians will begin their title defence against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the tournament opener on April 9 at Chennai. While MI would start the tournament as favourites yet again, RCB are chasing their elusive IPL title. However, with the addition of a few key players including the Big Show Glenn Maxwell, the Virat Kohli-led side would want to lift the title in 2021.
