Before Liverpool’s Champions League final Mane had revealed that he would soon deliver an update regarding his future. He had said, “Honestly I think the answer I can give you now is I feel very good. And I am fully focused on Saturday’s game, that is the answer I must give before the final. But come back to me on Saturday and I will give you the best answer you want to hear, for sure. It’s special. I will give you all you want to hear then.”
“I love what I am doing and I sacrifice myself all the time. I am working hard every single day on the pitch and in the gym and I get better and better, that’s the most important. I am trying my best to help the team.”
Whereas Mane’s teammate Mohammed Salah was also amidst a lot of transfer related rumours but before the Champions League final he cleared out all speculations and confirmed that he will continue with the club. While speaking at Liverpool’s pre-Champions League media conference, the Egypt international said, “I am just focused on the team and don’t want to talk about my contract. But I am staying next season for sure, that’s for sure.”
“In my mind, I don’t focus about the contract at the moment. I don’t want to be selfish. I said two months ago, it’s all about the team now. It’s a really important week for us, so I am just focused on the team. I want to win the Champions League again,” he continued.
