The 2022 IPL finals started off with a bang thanks to the electrifying performances by Bollywood superstar Ranveer Singh and Music director AR Rahaman. But as the actual game started, the excitement in the crowd started declining as the Rajasthan Royals' batting was absolutely dominated by the Gujarat Titans' bowling.
RR had a decent start as Yashasvi Jaiswal looked good as he scored a quickfire 22 runs in 16 balls. But after his dismissal, Rajasthan batters couldn’t get into the rhythm as they failed to rotate the strike and score runs quickly. Their star batter Jos Butler was also restricted by the likes of Rashid Khan and Hardik Pandya.
At the end of their 20 overs, the Royals only managed to put up 130 runs and hence fans have started considering this game as one of the worst finals in the history of the tournament, especially in a stadium with an audience of 1,04,859 people.
