Cricket remains as much a mental battle as it is to do with the fight between the bat and the ball. Prior to some matches, mental strength becomes all the more crucial since one is not only fighting the opponent but the various aspects at play. The resolve is even more necessary when it is an ICC event and that too the finals of it. Although the start of the ICC World Test Championship has been delayed due to rain, some experts are suggesting that this is a blessing in disguise for India since it prevents them from facing a defeat.
Former England captain Michael Vaughan has yet again taken a dig at the Indian men’s team after the summit clash was delayed because of rain. Vaughan said that India has been saved by the weather, suggesting that had rain not interrupted the Virat Kohli-led side would have been struggling against the Kiwis in the summit clash. Vaughan has predicted New Zealand to win the match.

The latest update from the Ageas Bowl is that the rain has reportedly stopped and the bowler’s run-up area has almost completely dried. However, there remain a few wet patches on the ground and a further call on whether or when the game will be able to begin is awaited. It is being learned that it will take about 60-90 minutes of no rain for the groundsmen to make the field ready for play.
