England are just months away from their historic tour to Pakistan. It was in 2005 when the Three Lions last played in the Asian nation, and now in October they will be playing in the country for the first time after 16 years. However, before the two-match series could kick off, the schedule of the series has been updated, as informed by the England and Wales Cricket Board on Friday.

As per the latest update in the fixtures, the two Pakistan vs England games, which were tentatively scheduled to be played on October 12 and 14, will now be played on October 13 and 14 in Rawalpindi, along with the first two T20Is between the women’s teams of the two nations.

“The schedule for England Men's and England Women's joint tour of Pakistan has been updated,” said ECB in its latest statement.

“All fixtures have been moved to Rawalpindi, and moved forward one day to assist with England Men's and Pakistan Men's preparations for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup,” it added. Notably, both the English men and women’s teams will leave the United Kingdom together on October 9 for the historic tour of Pakistan. Meanwhile, the women's team will also play a three-match ODI series against the Women in Green in the tour.
