After the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) approved of No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for four India Women cricketers, one more player has been added into the list. On May 6, the four players including Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodriguez were given the teams that they will be playing for in this one-of-a-kind tournament.

Shafali Verma to play for Birmingham Phoenix

As per the recent development, Shafali Verma is the next player to get a team in ‘The Hundred’. Verma was earlier named as a replacement player if anyone withdraws in the last minute.

Harmanpreet to play for Manchester Originals

India Women skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will also been seen participating in the tournament, stating in July this year. Kaur will be representing Manchester Originals. The other three players include Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodriguez. Who’ll be playing for Southern Brave, London Spirit and Northern Superchargers, respectively.

The inaugural edition of ‘The Hundred’ tournament is set to begin in UK from July 21. The first match of the 100-ball tournament will see a match between the women’s teams of Oval Invincibles go up against Manchester Originals.
