Tamil Nadu batsman Shah Rukh Khan has certainly been the talk of the town since his heroics in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He has certainly been rewarded for his performances as he became one of the most expensive Indian players to be bought during the IPL 2021 Auction. After an intense bidding war, Punjab Kings secured his services for INR 5.25 Crore.

The 25-year-old batsman attracted a lot of interest from Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals. He is certainly a perfect T20 player who would have been a good fit for any team. Punjab kings, who had the highest purse coming into the Auction, certainly made their intentions clear as they outbid RCB and DC to boy the explosive batsman for INR 5.25 Crore. Preity Zinta was certainly happy as she expressed her excitement after buying the talented cricketer.

Shahrukh Khan’s exploits in SMAT 2021

The explosive batsman had a really impressive SMAT campaign with Tamil Nadu. In the recently concluded T20 tournament, he played a few explosive knocks at a whopping strike rate of 212. He is one of the hardest hitters of the ball in Indian domestic circuit and would certainly be a vital addition to the new-look Punjab Kings side.
