The suspended IPL 2021 is all set to commence in the month of September after Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed hosting the remainder season in UAE on Saturday. Although the dates are yet to be finalised, franchises are worried whether they will be able to play the matches with full strength or not.

Shakib Al Hasan & Mustafizur Rahman likely to miss remainder of IPL 2021

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has suffered a huge blow as Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is likely to miss the remaining matches of IPL 2021 in UAE. This news was confirmed on Monday. Along with Shakib, even Mustafizur Rahman is likely to remain unavailable during the remainder of IPL 2021.

Speaking about the remaining IPL 2021, Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hassan stated as quoted by bdcrictime, "It's almost impossible to give Shakib and Mustafizur NOC for the IPL 2021 due to International duties and T20 World Cup coming as well so each match is important."

Notably, England is supposed to travel to Bangladesh for a limited-over series after hosting India in the the five-match Test series at home.

According to reports, all-rounders Andre Russell, Sunil Narine and star pacer Pat Cummins are also likely to miss the second leg of the IPL 2021.
