After a video of Shakib Al Hasan's angry outburst during a match in Dhaka Premier League got viral, the fans have been wondering if they will be able to see Bangladesh's star all-rounder anytime soon. The 34-year-old had been suspended for three games of the tournament in addition to USD 5,800 (BDT 5 lakh) fine. Fortunately for Shakib and his fans, he won't be facing any other punishment for the actions as the case has been shut and he has been given a green signal to play for national side.

Shakib set to play his first T20I in two years

As a result, the all-rounder has been included for all the formats i.e one-off Test, ODI and T20I series against Zimbabwe. Although Shakib did play the ODIs against Sri Lanka recently, it's been a while since he played the other two formats for his national side. He played his last Test against West Indies in February while his last T20I appearance for Bangladesh came in September 2019 against Afghanistan. BCB will be very happy to have their most experienced player back with them and available for the whole tour.

While BCB have accepted Mushfiqur Rahim's request to pull out of T20Is, they have called up youngster Shamim Hossain for the shortest format after his impressive performances in two domestic T20 tournaments recently.
