Ahead of the much-awaited finale of the inaugural edition of the World Test Championship, there have been a lot of talks about the key battles in the contest. From Tim Southee vs Virat Kohli to Jasprit Bumrah vs Kane Williamson, there will be some extremely fiery face-offs that the fans will get to see in the thrilling five days of cricket in Southampton. However, a clash that everyone is eagerly waiting to see is the one between two of the biggest names in world cricket right now - Rohit Sharma and Trent Boult.

Trent Boult vs Rohit Sharma - The big battle

Both Rohit and Boult have undoubtedly ruled the international cricket stage for the last few years. While they have some exceptional stats in white-ball cricket, they have also proved their mettle in the Test format. The Mumbai Indians duo will play an extremely crucial role for their respective sides in the WTC Final set to be played from June 18 onwards.

While Rohit will be responsible for getting India off to a steady start in challenging conditions, Boult will hold the key to destroy India's top-order once again, something he did during the 2019 World Cup meeting between the sides in the semi-finals. And it has now been revealed that the Kiwi pacer has a plan ready to dismiss Hitman in the final showdown.

This is what is going to happen in WTC Final: Boult told Bond

Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond recently disclosed how Trent Boult plans to dismiss Rohit Sharma in the WTC Final. "During IPL season, when Trent Boult was running in, swinging and hitting the pads of Rohit Sharma, he was telling 'This is what is going to happen in WTC final," revealed Shane Bond.

Hitman has had his struggles against the in-swinging deliveries from left-arm pacers throughout his career. While Mohammad Amir has had the better of him on quite a few occasions, Trent Boult would want to do something very similar. However, Rohit will also be prepared for the same and it will be an exciting watch as to who comes out on top in this clash of the champions.
