India batter Shikhar Dhawan is quite active on social media. The Delhi-born cricketer keeps sharing the happenings in his life across platforms. He also produces hilarious content through Instagram Reels. Generally, he engages with his teammates in the videos but this time Dhawan went a step ahead and involved his family members in his latest reel.
Dhawan shared a video wherein his father, and other members are seen enacting a movie scene. Dhawan’s father plays the role of a pissed and disappointed father who is kicking his son out of the house for not living up to his expectations while other members of the family try to stop him. In the background plays dialogue from a Bollywood film. Dhawan shared the video with a caption, “Knock out by my dad for not qualifying for knockouts”.

Punjab Kings failed to qualify
Notably, Shikhar Dhawan was playing for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022, and his team failed to qualify for the playoffs. Thus, the cricketer enjoys some quality time with his family. Coming to Dhawan’s performance in the 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), the PBKS opener scored 460 runs in 14 matches at an average of 38.33 including three fifties.
However, he could not take his team to the knockouts stage as Punjab finished in the sixth position on the points table. This was the fourth consecutive time that Punjab finished in the sixth position. The last time the Punjab-based franchise qualified for playoffs was way back in 2014 when George Bailey was the captain. But they are yet to win the coveted IPL title. Interestingly, Punjab have managed to finish in the top four only two times.
