The wait for the second leg of IPL 2021 is almost over. In 9 days from today, we will witness some amazing cricketing action in the biggest T20 league. Teams have started their preparations as players continue to join their respective franchises. Sunrisers Hyderabad batsman David Warner has also reached Dubai to join the rest of the squad. However, what caught the attention of the fans was his wife’s comment on his post.

Before leaving for Dubai, Warner shared an emotional post on Instagram wherein he shared a few pictures of his family members and wrote, “I’m going to miss you all soo much. It’s Been such a great time at home with the family, and now it’s back to work...High marks for mum for being extremely patient with us all, and I don’t know how you do it. You make me smile everyday. Blessed to have you by my side @candywarner1 ?.”

In the same post, his wife, Candice Warner shared a strong comment which was probably aimed at motivating Warner to make a comeback in the SRH side. “Your girls LOVE you. We have enjoyed every moment of having you home. Now time to go back to work and show the world what you are made of. ❤️?,” she wrote.

Have a look at the post here:

Warner was sacked from captaincy midway during the first phase

The first phase was not as good as Warner would have expected. Under his captaincy, SRH lost five of their six games and were placed at the bottom of the points table. Thus, Warner was sacked from the role and captaincy was given to Kane Williamson, who captained in one match before the first phase was postponed.

The Australian opener also struggled with the bat as he aggregated 193 runs from six games at an average of 32.16. His runs were not a worry but the pace at which they came did not help the team. Warner scored these 193 runs at a strike rate of 110.28, which is way too less considering his high standards. Thus, the southpaw will be eyeing a strong comeback and he will be eager to ‘show the world what he is made of’.
