Singapore Open 2022: PV Sindhu advances into the semifinals, HS Prannoy, Saina Nehwal ousted

The ongoing Singapore Open 2022 is already running in its fourth day with the players battling to book a spot in the BWF Super 500 semifinals. Indian ace badminton player PV Sindhu has reached the semifinals as the world No. 7 defeated China’s Han Yue in three sets.

Sindhu is the only Indian shuttler remaining in the tournament as other badminton stars including Saina Nehwal, HS Prannoy, Dhruv Kapila and MR Arjun have been ousted in their respective quarterfinal matches.

Japan’s Aya Ohori beat Saina Nehwal 13-21, 21-15, 20-21 in the quarterfinal while HS Prannoy lost to Japan’s Kodai Naraoka in Men’s singles event. The Men’s doubles team of Dhruv Kapila and MR Arjun was defeated by Indonesia’s Ahsan-Setiawan.
