India on Sunday displayed another discipline performance as they beat Sri Lanka by 38 runs in the 1st T20I. After being put to bat, Team India posted a decent total of 164/5 courtesy of Suryakumar Yadav's gritty fifty-run knock. The hosts started off the chase well and at one point, with Charith Asalanka at the crease, SL were cruising towards a win but wickets tumbled in the death overs and the hosts were eventually all-out for just 126 runs. Deepak Chahar and Bhuvneshwat Kumar's were the picks of the bowlers for India.
