India have already claimed the 3-match T20I series 2-0 and are gearing up to complete a clean sweep on the Sri Lankan team. The third and final T20I is all set to be played on Monday at the same venue the first two games were played. The Harmanpreet Kaur-led team have dominated the Chamari Athapaththu-led Sri Lanka. The hosts have just failed to put on a neat show so far but will look to correct their mistakes when they take the field on Monday.

Harmanpreet Kaur’s India have been clinical so far in the two matches as they have notched up comprehensive wins. While they beat Sri Lanka by 34 runs in the series opener, they won the second game by five wickets. In the first match, India rode on the brilliant performances from Jemimah Rodrigues and Deepti Sharma. Meanwhile, the second match saw the captain and vice-captain (Smriti Mandhana) stepping up.
All the players have shown good form and they are expected to replicate the same performances in the final T20I as well. Mandhana and Verma will have to provide a solid start while it will be upon Rodrigues and Kaur to keep things ticking in the middle. The finish work will be for Deepti Sharma and Yastika Bhatia.

The hosts have struggled to outperform their Indian counterparts but they will have a chance to end the series on a high on Monday. Captain Athapaththu showed some courage in the second T20I as she scored 43 off 41 balls on a sluggish wicket. She got a really good partner in Vishmi Gunaratne who also scored in the 40s. But after these two batters fell, Sri Lanka women could only get to 125/7 in their 20 overs.
Neither batting first nor chasing has worked for Sri Lanka, so it will be interesting to see how they go about their business in the final match. Indian spinners have been a big headache for Sri Lanka. Also, the captain will be hoping for her middle-order batters to step up and put up a fight at the least.
