Cricket South Africa (CSA) has announced their respective squads for the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka that is to be played next month. Temba Bavuma will be leading the side in both formats. Quinton de Kock has been rested from the ODI squad, however, he will be playing in the T20Is.

The other key takeaways from the squad announced include David Miller missing out from the ODI squad as his injury is being monitored. Dwaine Pretorius has been included in both squads, while Junior Dala has made it into the ODI squad. Pacer Lungi Ngidi will not be available for the ODIs due to personal reasons. However, he will return for the T20Is.

South Africa to play six white-ball games against Sri Lanka

South Africa is all set to play six white-ball games, 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is, against Sri Lanka from September 2 to 14. The first, second and third ODI will be played on September 2, 4, and 7, respectively. After the ODI series, both teams will play three T20Is starting from September 10. The second and third game will be played on September 12 and 14, respectively.

South Africa are coming to play Sri Lanka after defeating Ireland 3-0 in the T20Is. Before that, they clinched the five-match T20I series against the West Indies 3-2. On the other hand, Sri Lanka finally managed to win a series against India in 13 years and broke their losing streak. The Proteas will have an upper hand but back-in-confidence Sri Lanka will enjoy the home advantage.
