Preview

After facing back-to-back defeats and losing the series, India will hope to end the tour with a win in the last ODI at Cape Town. South Africa have looked completely different from the on-paper team. Everyone has played their part really well. On the other hand, India have not got the rhythm at all. KL Rahul and Co. need to find a win from somewhere when they take the field on Sunday.

Head-to-Head

Pitch Report

The Newlands pitch is not going to be a lot different from the Boland Park one. The weather forecast is for a bright and sunny day. So, the conditions are likely to be the same as the last two games. Batters will enjoy their time in the middle while pacers will have to hit the deck really hard to extract something. Spinners will have a role to play though.

Team Analysis

India

Nothing much has gone India's way in both the games so far. However, KL Rahul and co. will hope for a better outing in the last game of the tour. The team management is expected to make a few changes. Shreyas Iyer can be made to sit out to accommodate Suryakumar Yadav in the last eleven. Venkatesh Iyer, however, is likely to continue considering his all-round skills. Bhuvneshwar Kumar can also be left out and one between Deepak Chahar and Mohammed Siraj may be given a chance.

On the other hand, South Africa don't have much to be worried about. They have already claimed the series and will hope for a clean sweep in the last game. Talking about the possible changes to the eleven, there does not look like something big coming unless Temba Bavuma decides to test the bench strength. Marco Jansen can be brought in to try his hands on the white ball and get his maiden wicket. Otherwise, South Africa will field the same XI as the last game.

Probable Playing XIs

India: Shikhar Dhawan, KL Rahul (c), Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant (wk), Suryakumar Yadav, Venkatesh Iyer, Shardul Thakur, R Ashwin, Deepak Chahar/Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah

South Africa: Janeman Malan, Quinton de Kock (wk), Temba Bavuma (c), Aiden Markram, Rassie van der Dussen, David Miller, Andile Phehlukwayo, Keshav Maharaj, Tabraiz Shamsi, Lungi Ngidi, Sisanda Magala/Marco Jansen

Match Prediction

Conclusion: South Africa looks like a more settled team than India. However, India would be eager to end the tour on a high and will give it their all in this match.
