The Rohit Sharma-led Indian team registered a clinical win in the limited-overs leg of the England tour. The Men in Blue dominated in the T20I series by winning the first two games by 50 and 49 runs, respectively. India fell short in the third 20-over affair but came with a 10-wicket victory in the first ODI match.

The massive high was followed by an equally-bad low as they were tormented by the English at Lord's who registered a 100-run win. But for the final game, India turned up and recorded a famous win to seal the series. After all the festivities, captain Rohit Sharma shared a ‘special’ tweet with great pictures from the white-ball leg of the tour. “Special achievements by a special bunch”, Rohit captioned the post.

Rohit Sharma shared a similar sentiment during the post-match presentation ceremony of the third ODI in Manchester. He said, “Very pleased. Came here, wanted to achieve something as a group in white ball. We were here last time and were beaten, I remember that. Not an easy place to come and win games.”

The Mumbai Indians captain then talked about how the team is preparing a dependable bench considering the amount of workload on players. He said, “We've got some solid guys sitting on the bench who've been waiting to get a game. Want to create that bench strength. Injuries are bound to happen, have to manage workload, so need to build bench strength. Have got some solid guys who will get their opportunity in the West Indies.”
